Woven Good Times

Hi Everybody,

Well it’s certainly busy in girl world this week-end, plenty of time for experimenting with a few things I’ve been wanting to try – fun fun.

This is my first make this week-end, and I made it using the sketch at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. It’s enticed me to try weaving!

I love how this card turned out! I used a paper pack from Kaiser for the woven papers as they co-ordinated and the background paper is from a wonderful pack of My Minds Eye papers I collected from somewhere.

The stamp is a set that I don't know the name of (as usual, threw out the wrapper!) and I had stamped a pile of these for another card, this is just scrap of paper left over.

I had to mix some ink colours together on my craft sheet to get the right shade. ( I think it's Ranger Broken China mixed with SU Garden Green lol)

A Chipboard sentiment from my stash finished it off. Can you see the embossing on the card I used for the horizontal part - I thought that was pretty darn clever!

I’ll also enter this at Our Craft Lounge Challenge #84 who are wanting to see Patterned Papers...mmm love patterned papers!

I’m also entering into the Fussy and Fancy Challenge which is to try a new technique.  Weaving is certainly new to me, and while I enjoyed doing it, I think there may be some room for improvement. A smaller weave for instance may look a little more effective. You gotta try tho right?

I’ll be back with another post to soon, but, Ciao for now!
