Hot Pink Wedding Card

Hi Everyone,

I’m back to share this Wedding Card in Hot Pink and Black using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die and some gorgeous Theresa Collins paper that Australian Simply Cards Magazine kindly provided with one of their recent issues.

P1020942

I’ve used the Mojo Monday Sketch #221 which looks like this…

Mojo221Sketch_450

It’s the last one of the year and I think I’ve done well with my “Consistency Plan” – I had promised myself to be consistent throughout the year and do the Mojo sketch each week – okay, well maybe I missed some Mojo Mondays but a whole new year is afoot and I can try again.

P1020943

There’s quite a lot going on here – the flowers are cut from cardstock, the bottom one had some paper torn and stuck to black card before I ran it through the big shot with the die. The second one I cut and then stamped with a Stampin Up Fifth Avenue Floral stamp, and the top one was cut from glitter paper and topped with a black rhinestone.

The layers beneath the flower have all been distressed, inked and silver paint swiped over them here and there.
The frame around the sentiment is something new to me - it comes from Kaiser as a blank wooden frame and I've painted mine silver and tied off some paper twine to eyelet.

P1020946

The inside was decorated with the papers too and this stamp is a Kaiser sentiment. I love the swirly writing. I punched the edges of the bottom layer with a Martha Stewart arched lattice edge punch as it was almost the same pattern as the paper.

P1020949

Can you see the curls sticking out of the flower – they are just thin strips of paper. I saw this lovely little trick on another blog whilst browsing around and thought it a brilliant idea.
(Whoever that was – thank you!)

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges also…

I hope you like it – please visit My Blog Candy while your here – you never know your luck, you might just win it, BUT – You’ve got to be in it to Win it!

EDIT... Carolyn at Ms Petunias Garden is where I first saw the paper curls  - Found her! lol

Final Christmas Cards for 2011

Hi Everyone,

Yes I know – the big red suit has flown by already – however, I didn’t get a chance to post these lovely last minute Christmas cards that I made and I really think they deserve to be shared.

P1020916_thumb

I have used all the remaining leftover bits to create another patchwork background, added a lovely sentiment that was free to use for a challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog but I didn’t get a chance at the time to do it.

P1020912     P1020911

It went perfectly with these lovely wooden silver hearts that were given to me last year and I topped the hearts with a bit of a Kaiser Rub-On from one of the Christmas sheets. Just a little holly, which added that Christmas feel to them.

P1020913     P1020914

I’ve used Spellbinders Nestabilities – Labels 4 to show off the sentiment and a lovely big silver Ribbon that was in my stash.
They turned out beautifully and made a great splash with those who received them.

I’ll share them at the following challenges:-

Thanks for putting up with just one more Christmas Card post and I hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday and gearing up for a creative and fun 2012 – I know I am!

Tilda Christmas Box

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share this Trinket Box with you all because it is Christmas Themed and there is only 1 sleeps till Santa arrives here in Australia - and because I finally have finished it!

P1020882

This is a Kaiser Craft wooden trinket box that has been decorated. The design and stamps and all the bits to make it were provided at the Brisbane Paper Craft Fair in a Copic Class that I did with Michelle from Michelle’s Cards and Stamps.

P1020879

We even were given the paint as the box came raw.

P1020881

I’m going to give this to my lovely Neice for Christmas. She is 19 and having a baby in April next year, so I’m sure she’ll find a use for it.

P1020885

This is my colouring – unfortunately I have spilt something on the middle tilda and her face is blemished. I only just noticed this while posting the photos, so I will get out the blender pen later and see if I can’t fix it!

P1020887

Michelle may have the kit for this class still, so if you want one for yourself, drop her a line or check out her online shop:  http://www.michellescardsandstamps.com.au/home1.html
I won’t be sharing this in any competitions as it is not really “mine”, but I will share it over at Bloggers Challenge Ornamental Challenge  JFF and to show it off. It's a blog hop too so you can link up and share the fun too...

CAS Christmas

Hello Everyone,

Have to share these cards I made to the sketch pattern from Clean and Simple Stamping – it closes in about 3 hours, so no saving them for later!

P1020900

I made two cards using the same sketch and same elements, just slightly different coloured card stock and colouring – one is blue and the other green.

P1020902

The sentiment  and snowflakes are a digi image from Birds Cards, thank you Bird, appreciate them muchly. They look fantastic coloured with copics and covered in glitter!

P1020903

I have used two different snowflakes but there are half a dozen available! Using a dark grey to mat the colours onto really makes it stand out I think.

P1020901

The cardstock has been embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, then sanded back to accentuate the pattern.
I have used spellbinder nestabilities – circles & scallop circles on the snowflake itself.

Obviously this is entered at Clean & Simple Cards as it is their sketch – a good one too, see...

FTL171

Thanks for checking my cards out and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
4 Sleeps till Santa arrives, where did the year go?

Patchwork Christmas Card

Hi Everybody,

Guess what?….Here’s another Christmas card!

I’ve used the same Santa Digi as the last card I posted – it’s from Tiddlyinks.

I’ve coloured it the same only this time I have made him a bit furry lol.

P1020907

Check out a close up – that is flower soft stuck to all the furry parts of Santa’s outfit. It’s the first time I’ve used it and it looks amazing! I was worried that it would fall off, but it actually sticks very well with the Tacky Glue.

P1020909

The patchwork is leftover bits that were lying around on my desk from all different paper packs – all from Kaiser Craft.

P1020908

The sentiment is also from Kaiser and is a Rub On. I’ve faux stitched each patch with a black marker and matted them onto black card. Santa baby is popped up with a dimensional.

I love how this turned out and I'll be making a couple more of these for friends and family in the next day or so. It’s also a great way to use up all the little offcuts – and believe me – I have plenty of them!

I’d like to share this at the following challenges:-

Hope you like it….once again check out my blogaversary candy here.

Santa Christmas Card

Hi Everyone,

Just a little more Christmas rejoicing to do –
Santa Claus is coming to Town!

P1020904

What is it 7 more sleeps!

Made this card using the sketch at Scrap n Stamp Sketch Challenge blog’s December Challenge…

snsc02-214x300

The image was a free digi from Tiddlyinks called Santa Baby. I have coloured Santa with Copics ( Reds:R29,RV29/ Black:100/ Skin:E00,E11,R20/ Feet:E81)

I’m not sure where the paper came from, but had some offcuts that I’ve used so no names on it. Is more than likely Kaiser Craft though, (It was one double sided peice, so have used both front and back of same sheet).

The black square bling were in my stash too – just from a cheap shop I think.

I’d like to enter a couple of other challenges with this card – so many Christmas Challenges at the moment, I just can’t resist!
That’ll do, I’ll save some for the other 4 cards! lol

I had a big day in Girl World today and made Five cards all up – so I guess I’ll be back later! lol

Ciao for now..

Wedding Card

Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d take a nice break from the Christmas Cards and post this card I made.

It has a couple of pockets on the front, that are just glued in place, not folded in some kind of fancy way or anything.
I have put a couple of envelope type tags in the pockets. The tags were pre-made from a scrapbooking kit, but I thought they’d be lovely for a little message and maybe some money in the little envelope.

P1020378

The other embelishments – the dress & cake – are also bought, not made.

This is how the card looks without the tags in the pockets…

P1020379

and these are the tags…

I’m going to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Unusual Christmas Card

Hello Again,

I’m back with a card made for the Mojo Monday #219 Sketch Challenge.

I’ve used some Kaiser Craft papers to make this unusual Christmas Card. While the colours are fairly traditional and a favourite combination of mine (that is Burgundy not brown as it looks in these pictures – must adjust my camera!), the image is something a little unusual for me for Christmas, but still says Christmas!

P1020873

The embossing folder is poinsettias and I’ve put some little pink pearls at their centres.

This is the Sketch Layout…

Mojo219Sketch

I do like this little bird though and I think the sketch layout suits it perfectly.

P1020875

I’ve decorated the inside of the card too…

P1020876

Thanks for dropping by and checking it out, I’ll share it with the following challenges also…

Christmas Shaker Card

Hi Everyone,

I have still been madly making Christmas cards and this one is beautiful if I do say so myself!
I cannot claim to be the designer here as I have copied a card from the latest issue of Australian Simply Cards magazine, they even provided the paper in a lovely Christmas Paper Stack that came with the Mag!

P1020862

All instructions to make this card were in the magazine, although they used a different spellbinder label – mine is Labels 4. There is an acetate window that is popped up with foam tape and filled with a combination of flower soft and glitter.

P1020860

I’ve also used a new punch here in the Martha Stewart Fern leaf – just had to have it! There is a snowflake sizzlit die and some satin roses with a paper flower. The ‘25’ is die cut from Sizzix Chip Block alpha die and layered onto a sizzlit tag that is tied on with string.

I love how the arrangement of embellies sits on the card …here it is even closer again…

P1020864

Hope you like it, I’m going to have to share this at Make it Monday I am so proud of my achievement with it.

Oh and just a quick reminder of my Blog Candy

Ribbon Christmas Tree

Hello Everyone,

Christmas is certainly fast approaching, so yes, I’m madly making cards as is everyone else who doesn’t do Christmas Cards All Year Round – A concept I’m coming to appreciate! lol

I saw this idea in the latest Simply Cards magazine here in Australia and had just the ribbon tucked away  in my stash ( purchased from Craft Queen last year).

P1020858

It looks even better in real life as the satin ribbon shines beautifully.
The sentiment says “Rocking around the Christmas Tree” and I then stamped the Christmas Tree part again so it was nice and even along the bottom.
The star is a Quickcuts die cut from metallic silver paper and the centre part glittered Red.

There is quite a bit of dimension to the ribbon...

P1020857

The paper is from Kaiser Craft (one of the christmas releases, not sure which). It has layered up nicely on green & white card stock.

Will be off to make a few more of these tomorrow, I’ve got a feeling they’ll be popular Smile

I’d like to enter it at the following challenges:-

Christmas Card Joy

“Oh What fun it is to make a Christmas Card with Joy, Hey”

Hi Everyone, just thought I’d sing a little carol of my own Te he he, or is that ho ho ho.

Here’s another Christmas Card I’ve made, now someone gave me all the bits to make this card so I’ve no idea what the papers are or where the sentiment came from. It turned out so lovely with the folded flower that I just had to share it with you Smile

P1020750

Very Christmassy indeed!

I’ll share it at the following challenges too, just because I can! lol

Santa Christmas Card

Hello Everyone,

I made this Christmas card using a wonderful image of Santa that was available with a 6” paper pad that I got free with Australian Simply Cards magazine last month.

P1020837

The buckle is lovely and blingy, and the snowflakes are die cuts.

The paper on the top is from the same paper pack, I loved the roses and used sheer ribbons in red and black so you could still see them through the ribbon. Matting the whole thing and the Santa with black really makes it all stand out nicely.

It’s a pretty simple Santa Christmas Card really…just wanted to share it around.

Don’t forget about my CANDY – HERE – All you have to do is follow me and put your name in the Linky List on this post – HERE -  and I will draw it when I reach 133 followers.

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Hello Everyone,

I’m back with another Christmas Card, this time I’ve used a poinsettia digi from Beccys Place, thank you Beccy it’s perfect!

P1020843

After downloading the digi image I printed it in a couple of different sizes, coloured them in with Copic Pens (R22, R24 & R29) and then fussy cut them out.

P1020841

Above you can see the two different layers. The top layer I selected just the inside petals and cut everything else away. Before sticking it down I ran a shaping tool under the petals to give them a little height.

It’s finished off with some little beads in silver & red stuck to the middle to emulate the berries.

P1020842

I also used a stamp I purchased recently from my favourite local scrapbooking shop J.A.M CreationsThe stamp set is a Do Crafts - Daisy & Dandelions Clear Stamp set and it has 7 different Christmas sentiments that you'll be sure to see all of over the next week or so.

I stamped directly onto the DP with SU Cherry Cobbler ink and layered with red mirror card onto a white base along with a little red mesh style ribbon.

Hope you Like it, I am going to share it with the following challenges:):-

Star Ornament Tag

Hello Everyone,
I have been having a wonderful Friday at home, after a little operation I had yesterday. Far be it for me to “rest”, I spent the day making these wonderful pop out Star Ornament Tags that I found a tutorial on.

P1020825

The tutorial was at Stamp with Tammi who has some absolutely amazing projects! Thank you Tammi Smile

I made three of these today, this is how they look all closed up….

P1020826

Then you loosen off the bead, and this happens…..

P1020827

Open the whole thing up and re-tighten the bead to get this….

P1020828

Each square is 3 inches and it all folds down to one of 1.5 inches.
Very cute, and they will be attached to lots of my Christmas presents I think!

Here’s the other two opened up for you to see my stamping, there’s plenty of wreaths, stars & snowflakes galore.

P1020831        P1020833

I have used a combination of stamps from several different Christmas sets, from both Kaiser Craft and Hot off the Press, as well as Boho Backgrounds from Stampin Up.

All the inks are Stampin Up: Garden Green with Poppy Parade , Marina Mist with Rich Razzleberry and Marina Mist with Cherry Cobbler, and stamped onto Very Vanilla Card stock.

Both sides of the card paper are stamped, and you can see the pattern on the other side at the edges of the star when it is open…

P1020834

This project has been a world of fun, thanks so much to Tammi for sharing her wonderful tutorial Smile

I’d like to share this in the following challenges:-

Little Red Wagon #108 – Christmas Theme
