Multi Purpose Card

Hi Everyone,

I’m back in the middle of a long week-end here in Qld and how busy have I been!
This card is made with no sentiment on purpose
I figured I needed a ‘Multi-Purpose’ card in my stash.
P1030995

Sunny Challenges and Creations always have a great sketch, and this week is no different,
check it out..
SC 06112

I have gone and turned it on it’s side – and used something from the new  Catalogue as suggested – Delicate Doilies Sizzlits along with some embossing folders and the gorgeous swirl stamp from the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

The colour scheme this week is from Dynamic Duos – always a bit of fun.
DD#22

As you can see I used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake cardstock, some pearls to accent and Voila – one Multi Purpose card!
I’ll be back soon with a new technique for me – some lovely layers, so keep an eye out for it, you’ll love it!
Ciao for now…

Vintage Mojo Thanks

Hi Everyone,

What a creative week it’s turning out to be. I’ve made my Mojo Monday card already!

P1030980 - Copy

I had an absolute blast with my stamps and inks and cardstocks and embossing folders and sizzlit dies and ribbons and musical roller stamp and distressing and smudging and sponging and shimmering. Yep, it was a busy afternoon! Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week…

Mojo260Sketch

I’ve always admired how people use a ‘peek-a-boo’ tear in the cardstock and reveal the underneath of a design. So this was my opportunity to try it out. I’ve used the music Notes roller wheel with Early Espresso ink on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Whereas on the Vanilla cardstock on top I’ve used Pretty in Pink ink to roll out the Music Notes.

P1030980

I seem to also have a thing for little birdies lately – this one is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. I also like the Victoria Lace frame that I made. Thanks so Much is a retired sentiment stamp set and I’ve framed it with one of the Lots of Tags Sizzlit.

P1030978

The pretty in pink flower is made with the Boho Blossoms punch and I’ve separated the cardstock to reveal that lovely suede look again. It just softens up the flower nicely. The Little Leaves sizzlit was cut from Early espresso cardstock and tucked underneath.
Well that’s it from me today.
Hope I’ve inspired you to get in a craft something!

Regal Rose Mojo

Hi All,

Yay – I’m back with my Mojo Monday card and it’s only Saturday here!  Can’t wait to share it with you, It’s made from gorgeous Regal Rose cardstock, the matching Designer Paper stack and a smidgen of Twitterpated Designer Paper. I sneaked in an Apothecary Accents Framelit too just for fun.

P1030950

Not to mention those ever versatile Floral Fusion sizzlit flowers (in black again he he he) along with the Little Leaves sizzlit and even some offcuts from a previous card. The lovely scallop around the edge that has been topped with pearls is the offcut from an Adorning Accents edgelit. How pretty is that! Because I had lined up the piece I was cutting for a previous card with the edgelit fairly close to the edge of the cardstock I was left with this thin scalloped strip which was perfect to decorate the plain circular edge on the Mojo sketch this week.
This is the sketch this week by the way..
Mojo259Sketch

Oooh, can you see the sweet little banner that the sentiment is stamped on?

P1030950

It’s another new item in the catalogue that I think I will find it hard to live without – Bitty Banners Framelits. 3 Dies come in the set and I’ve used one of my Teeny Tiny Sentiments in it this time as I’m awaiting the arrival of the order that has the matching stamp set in it.

How exciting – another matching stamp and cut item!

That’s the exact reason why I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator – It all Matches! (and did I mention you get a discount?) If you’d like to join up too – check out the Join Now button on my Demonstrator Website today. Just follow the prompts and you too could have all these wonderful matching, good quality products at a discount!

Hanging Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone,

I have this gorgeous card to share with you today that utilised my Bakers Twine to dangle a butterfly and sentiment in an aperture made with a die. I did make it a while ago and was saving it up for a Challenge, which I’ve just found the perfect one at Twist of Faith Card Challenge blog – the In The Garden theme is perfect!

P1030720

This is my first attempt at this type of card and it was a lesson in co-ordination I can tell you! The trick is to cut the aperture ON ALL pieces at the same time (before sticking them together, but with them where you want them to be).
There are two sides the piece that hangs in the middle and the Bakers Twine is stuck down between the two, then it’s sandwiched between the designer paper and the cardstock at top and bottom to hold it into place. Here it is on the inside…
P1030721

The little hanging piece was just a circle punched, the butterfly was stamped and cut out twice and stuck onto both sides, lining it up as best I could. I have shared this card over at Inspire Me Fridays too, because I think it’s a rather inspired idea. The Sweet Stampin Challenge also has a  challenge to focus on the sentiment - It is a little small, but is definitely the focus on this card.

P1030723

I hope you like my attempt at some construction – now to go back and do it again with the new Stampin Up Butterfly punch and perhaps one of the Apothecary Accents frames would be nice for this. I have cased this card from somewhere – a tutorial was found, but as I made this card quite a while ago, I have failed to find again the brains behind the design to credit them for it. Whoever it was – thank you, it’s a lovely design!

Have a great day now..

Sunny Birthday Duo

Hi Everyone,

I have a lovely birthday card to share this week, I especially love the embossed birdy and the single strip of Bakers Twine that is hiding the untidy edge from the sliver of cardstock I trimmed off the top section. (shhh)
Can you spot the other mistake I made on this card? hmmm – we’ll see if anyone notices ? – But like they say, it’s not a mistake, it’s a unique creation. lol

P1030946

Sunny Creations & Challenges provided the Sketch & Easel theme while  Dynamic Duos is a colour challenge (somehow I missed the Halloween Theme here – do you think a black bird counts ? lol)

SC 05912        DD#20

This was a quick and fun card to make, the challenges make it easy by putting your focus on what you need, when choices are plentiful you can sit for hours undecided! lol

P1030949

An Easel card makes sure you decorate the inside too and what better place for scraps.

     P1030947

I’ve used all Stampin Up products in this card:
  • Stamps – Creatively Yours, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Papaya Collage
  • Designer Paper – Twitterpated
  • Cardstock & Matching Ink – Black & Lucky Limeade
  • Tools: Floral Fusion Sizzlit, Labels collection Framelits, Embossing Powder, Adorning Accents Edgelit & Embossing folder, a single little Rhinestone.
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration, the new Catalogue has some wonderful things in it and I’m having a great time creating with them. Hope you’ll join me again in  a few days time when I conquer my Mojo before Monday again!

Mojo Wedding

Hi Everyone,

I have the Mojo Monday sketch challenge conquered for another week – Yay! I must say I am in love love love with this card! The colour is Stampin’ Up Wisteria Wonder – cardstock, ink & designer paper (albeit retired dp boo hoo).

P1030938

The base matt of Whisper White cardstock has been embossed with Perfect Polka Dots and one of the little half circle features at the top was embossed with tiny hearts, it’s part of the Adorning Accents edge embossing set.

P1030939

The stamp set used for the sentiment was Stampin’ Up’s Word Play and the beautiful flowers that I’ve fussy cut and hi-lighted with Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. Check it out close up above. I like that it has a really fine nozzle for little dots but also lets you go ballistic like I did in the centre of the big flower above. The other thing I really like is that unlike other “glitter glues”, this one dries fairly quickly!
Oh, this was the sketch this week...

I hope you like my Mojo Monday card this week and I look forward to bringing you some more cards before this week is out! Promise!

If you are an Australian resident and you’d like to have access to any of these products, you are welcome to contact me to discuss your requirements or place an order and perhaps if you are anywhere near the Gold Coast in Qld you might like to be hostess of a party and take advantage of the hostess dollars you can earn to purchase even more of these lovely goodies. I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best now..

Flower Pot Pocket Card

Hello Everyone,

My lovely friend Trish came over yesterday having found a rare moment of free time to share in my craft room with me. She came with tutorial in hand and we sat down and made one of these flower pot cards together.

P1030931

It’s a mixture of new and retired products, the new being the Satin Stitched Ribbon adorning the flower pot and essentially holding it together.

P1030932

The insert slides out to reveal the sentiment.
I’d like to share this card with a few challenges, just because It’s so cute.
I have just found the Alphabet Challenge blog
(they are up to “P” already, but what the heck!)
P is for Pocket – and this is indeed a pocket!

Also I will share this at Inspire me Fridays as they are always anything goes and I love the inspiration I gain from the other entries – everything from recipes to recycling crafts. Terrific!

Thanks for taking the time out to have a look. If you want to make one yourself you can find the tutorial on Split Coast Stampers . Have fun now

Memorable Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone,

I’m having a ball using the Memorable Moments stamp set and matching Labels Collection Framelits from Stampin’ Up! I have used them here for the Sunny Challenges and Creations had a wonderful sketch challenge this week to combine with a Black and White theme, and this is what I came up with…

P1030895

This set is designed to co ordinate with the Labels Collection Framelits, and what a fine job it does too! I used the rose from the Papaya Collage Stampin Up set as the feature – I think I have a thing for black roses. The sentiment is one you’ll probably see a lot of in future. It’s from the Memorable Moments Stampin’ Up set, as is the lovely dotted frame stamped around the rose.

Here is the sketch…
SC 05812
Easy Peasy hey!

Once again – hope I’ve given you some inspiration, perhaps you could head on over to Sunny Challenges & Creations and share what you make with the girls too.
I’m sure they’d love to see you.
Have a great day Smile

Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

I have managed to achieve getting the Mojo Monday sketch done again. Yay Yay. I’ve also managed to combine it with the colour selection this week from Dynamic Duo’s. I’m on a roll! I have used Stampin’ Up’ new Labels Collection Framelits around the sentiment, which is from the Memorable Moments Stamp set.

P1030891
Here is the sketch…

Mojo257Sketch and here is the colour scheme… DD#19

The colours this week I thought would be a bit of a challenge as I’m not really that 'into' them, however, I did have them and thought well, it’s an opportunity to use up the cardstock at the very least.
I actually am quite pleased with how it turned out – although the colours really needed the Neutral Vanilla and Chocolate Chip to break down the bright Cajun Craze and lift the usually sombre Always Artichoke.

P1030892

Embossing folders were the ever useful Vintage Wallpaper and the smaller strip of hearts embossing that is part of the Adorning Accents collection. Boho Blossom punch made the flowers from designer paper (Berry Blossoms from last year) and cardstock, a pearl finished them off nicely and the Little Leaves sizzlit adds just the right touch.

I wanted a fairly large scallop to be showing on the Cajun Craze, so I cheated and used the 1/2” Circle punch, sticking them in a row on the back of the Chocolate Chip band to look like a scallop edge.

Hope my card has left you inspired to use some of the colours you are not so keen on, you just never know what you’ll come up with!

Have a great day!

Seasons Greetings Snow Flurry

Hi Everyone,

I’ve managed to do the Mojo Monday sketch this week – again just in the nick of time! Here is my card in lovely Very Vanilla, Pool Party and Midnight Muse coloured inks and cardstocks and matching designer papers.

P1030869

Here is the Mojo Monday Sketch…I chose the square one obviously! lol

Mojo256Sketch

It was a great opportunity to play my new Stampin’ Up Sizzix Bigz Die – Snow Flurry, which is in the new Stampin Up Holiday Catalogue. Click the link to go see for yourself what else is in this catalogue – it’s awesome to say the least!

P1030870

The papers used were from the designer paper pack called Comfort Cafe, which is available in the Annual Catalogue. Again click the link on the side bar to check out all the new stuff!

P1030871

I’ve decided that I’m addicted to Shimmer Paint! It seems to end up on all my cards recently, whether it’s painted or sprayed in a mist or stamped like I’ve done here with the little star stamp from the new Scentsational Season stamp set (in the Holiday Catalogue too, with some matching dies and scented embossing powder! how fab is that!)

Well that's all from me today – another Christmas Card made and a little play with some of the new products available, Thanks for stopping by.
