Torn Flower Card

Hi Everyone,

I haven’t made one of these torn flowers in such a long time, so I thought I’d use one on my Mojo Monday card for this week and share a quick How To for you to make your own. It comes in very handy if you have bits of paper leftover.

The papers are from the last mini catalogue and the sentiment is from the “Word Play” set, the little green ferns are from a hostess set I won ages ago.  The striped flag was embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder just to give it some texture.

These flowers are so very easy to do!
  1.  Just take three different sized squares of paper and tear the edges into a rough circle.
  2. Then make a tear towards the centre at fairly even intervals to make the ’petals’.
  3. These petals are then inked around the edges to give some definition (or use glitter on them for some bling), and rolled inwards using a fine bamboo skewer or the handle of a very fine paint brush.
  4. The layers are then stuck together with dimensionals’ , a little gem stuck in the middle for bling and voila!
A Torn Paper Flower is born.

Thanks for stopping by and checking it out my entry to Mojo Monday #235, here is the sketch.
