This is the first card I’ve made this week and it’s nearly the end of the week!
My nephew is off for his first overseas trip with-out Mum & Dad and I’m going to miss his send off this afternoon, so I made this card to let him know that I am thinking of him and wishing him well.
I really enjoyed doing some stamping for a change. I’ve made the background with SU Cream cardstock and a pile of different stamps from the TPC Studio range called Bon Voyage and the Cre8tive stamps Travel Series. I also used a pile of different ink colours from SU, starting with River Rock, then Old Olive and finally with Night of Navy. The whole lot was then sponged over with Distress Inks – Shabby Shutters & Broken China.
I even did the inside again using leftover bits by simply tearing the edges, I’m getting better at that!
Here’s a close up of the little tag I made, I don’t know if you can see the embossing on it. I used the Tim Holtz Gridlock embossing folder on this as well as the second layer.
Hope you like it. I have another busy week next week, but do have a certain young man’s birthday to deal with, so no doubt I’ll be back before Sunday this time!
Have a great week… and…
Ciao for now
