Annabelle meets Bizzy Bec

Hey I'm getting good at these combined challenges lol.

Today I chose to follow the Annabelles Bling Sketch Challenge (ABSC036), and combine it with Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge # 20 which is for anything Two Tone.I chose pink and yellow :)

This is the sketch at Annabelles place this month. They are also searching for DT members, so if your keen, get on over there and have a shot at it.

I have used a free digi from Beccys Place - fluffy cupcake and printed it on photo paper, then used a combination of distress ink (yellow) and Stampin Write marker (pink) to colour it in. The Stampin Write marker didn't like the photo paper too much but it worked out great by giving a fluffy, swirly effect. Beccy has some great images for free, thank you so much Beccy :)

I'll keep this one in my stash to use for a birthday somewhere along the line. Hope you like it.

Love love Love Love Loooove

Hello,

Seeing as how Valentine's Day is getting closer and a couple of Valentines' challenges are running too, I thought I better pull my finger out and do something.

This card was made with left-over bits from my Vintage Card Class with J.A.M, I am going to use every last scrap of that sheet of paper it was so very pretty.

The L on this card is a chipboard letter that has been embossed with black glitter embossing powder, it really shines, I was very pleased with how it turned out. The rose stem has been threaded with Beads and the whole thing glued ontop of the L. The rest of the Love word and the sentiment is a simple rub-on.

I have also used some little clear beads and bits of lace here and there. The whole left side of the paper is trimmed with a little pom pom style lace which I had been dying to use and not found the right place for until now. Here's a close up for you....

I especially love how the paper is folded back revealing the underside which has a bold black herringbone pattern on it, and the rose is kinda tucked in there peeking out surrounded by clear beads and more lace here too, they all offset that gorgeous paper.

In the bottom corner I have added more lace and beads with the rose, along with these stemmy blobs that will be perfect for the inner stamens of flowers. I don't know what they are called, but I found a packet and have a couple of hundred of them now. They are just gorgeous.

Well I'll enter this over at Sandies Place for her February Challenge which is themed with Fabric & Love. I got the Love right, the fabric is a bit lacey though lol.

There is also  Challenge # 14 at Stamps R Us with Valentine/Love theme that I think this card fits perfectly. Even though I've not used a single stamp here!

Above all else, I hope you enjoy looking at it :)

Mojo 176 - Beautiful Blue Flowers

Hooray, it's Sunday and tomorrow a new sketch will come out, but I got it done and that's all that matters. Consistency saved!

I never thought I'd even be interested in cards today, after a full day yesterday at my Papermates meeting and making 8 whole cards!! Awesome day, check out what I made here.

I still have some Mojo today, so that is great. Here is my Mojo Monday #176 for this week, hope you all like it...

I used the same paper reversed at the top of the card, and made flowers from the paper as well.
There are three types of flowers here - some rolled roses similar to my Heart card. The second are made from a small heart punch folded in half to create a petal and laid around a circle of card, glued in place and a pearl or rhinestone added to the centre. Finally the third flower was using the heart punch too, but I folded paper and cut across the fold with the punch using just the humps of heart. The resulting piece is kind of a figure eight petal shape and this is sponged and laid across each other with a seed beed in the centre. (These were on Velita's Designs in a bigger version, but my heart punch is tiny, so this is what I get.)

I decided to use two different colours of ribbon for variety and to tie in the little beads I have glued here and there.

Check out the dimension on this card - something I have learned that I love is dimension!

I don't know the name of this paper, but I bought about eight sheets of it I liked it so much. It's the same paper I used on my shoebox swap - which hopefully Trish will post sooner or later. Keep an eye out for it over on her blog http://trishandtreasure.blogspot.com.

Have a great week, I've got a busy one coming up, so unless I do some late night stamping, I'll probably be back next week end with a last dash effort at the next Mojo!

My First Digi & Corrosive Challenge #97

I decided to step outside my normal realm and do a challenge at The Corrosive Challenge Blog, here's a link http://corrosivechallengesbyjanet.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-97-purple-and-yellow.html

I liked the idea of Purple & Yellow - they're two of my favourite colours!
Another thing that is outside the norm for me is using a "digi" stamp.

I picked up a freebie from Kenny K  you can check them out here: http://www.kennykdownloads.com/

Although the freebie I used and the current freebie will probably be different. It took me a while to decide to use it. I have coloured it in with watercolour pencils - which looks a bit lame compared to the girls using copics - must do a class with them and see if I'm any good at it. Gawd forbid I could quite easily gain another addiction with copics - and an expensive one at that! Here's my card anyways....

Now off to enter it in the challenge over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog...bye.
