Annabelle sketch with a little Banana Custard thrown in…

Hello Everyone,

I see I have a couple more followers – thank you for joining me, I hope I can provide as much inspiration as I get from you in return.

Today I have made a card for the Annabelle Stamps Sketch Challenge #38  and as luck would have it is the perfect colour to enter into the Lollipop Ladies challenge too, which is themed on “Banana Custard” (YUM).
Even though my card is not themed – the colour is right! Vintage will have to wait till the next attempt!

Here it is….

Oh look, I used my Annabelle Stamps “All Things Grow” set again! lol. There is one little element there that is not from that set, and it’s the little birdie which I’ve pinched from the Stampin Up “Bliss” set. I used some natural fibre papers and they kind of went well with the Fern leaf. The ink was Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink and I used some orange bling, because the yellow and gold ones just didn’t have any oomph.

Here is the sketch to use if you’d like to do it too click on it, it'll take you there. You can check out what the DT did with the sketch too - pretty awesome.

and the custard...
 I did say YUM!

As usual, I hope you like it Smile

Spring Flowers

Hello again,

I've made this really simple card with a wonderful technique taught to me by my SU (Stampin Up) demonstrator - Jane Norrish.

I have stamped and coloured and cut - out my daisies from the SU Every Moment stamp set and then glued them to a beautiful blue sky coloured card. I then ran it through the Big Shot using my SU Textured Impressions embossing folder.

A simple sentiment (pretty sure that's a Kaszazz Happy Birthday), and a piece of ribbon finished it all off nicely.

I was inspired by the picture challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks which shows flowers reaching to the sky....

Isn't it beautiful!

Daring Birdy

Hello Everyone,

I have made this cute little gift card using a few different techniques - just as practice, but I think it turned out great!

There is an emboss releif background that has been brayered, I've used my spellbinder scallop circle to cut a window and mounted the background behind it. I then sandwiched my little cut out and coloured birdy and reeds between it and some acetate. It's a nice shiny window.

Daring Cardmakers have the perfect challenge running - Draw a Bird Day. Well, I coloured a stamped bird? It's the SU Every Moment stamp too, just in case your wondering :)

Mojo Every Moment

Hello Everyone,

I received my Stampin Up order in last week and found the Mojo Monday Sketch this week was the perfect opportunity to use my new stamp - "Every Moment", and the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit.

Without further adieu - here tis...

I really enjoyed colouring this image in, I used a Stampin Up blender pen with either a marker or spot of ink on the craft mat. (Colours were Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede and River Rock together and a tiny bit of pumpkin pie on beak and legs.)

I shaded some pale orange chalk over the image to soften it a little. The image was then die cut with spellbinder circle and matted onto a spellbinder scallop circle die cut.

The big scallop is a 1" circle punch laid underneath and the ribbon is from my stash. The green pearls are from Kaiser.

This is the Mojo Monday #185 Sketch, and this week it's a competition week. I'd really love to win a Verve stamp set - wish me luck!

I'll be back later with some cards I made through the week, just for fun, as you do. Feel free to come back a take a peek. :)

Quick Bliss

I simply had to have a go at my new Bliss stamp set from Stampin Up.

It is just so adorable, this is only the beginning of a fine association with this set I am sure. I haven't even got to the little birdie yet!

I ran this card up quickly tonight, just for fun - as you do!

The stripey paper is from Kaiser's "Tea at Elsies" collection and the dotted paper is Stampin Up "Blueberry Crisp".

A spellbinder labels die stamped on the background with "Crumb Cake" and the gorgeous chandelier type stamp and overlaid with Bliss in "Soft Suede", the edges of the label are sponged with "Marina Mist".

The butterflies are stamped with "Marina Mist" and one of the butterflies is lighter because I stamped it twice without re-inking.

I distressed all the edges of the paper, peeling some back here and there to reveal the under-side. Sponged all the paper edges with "Crumb Cake" and when it was all assembled I sprayed a squirt of broken china distress ink mixed with perfect pearls and water. It is a little shimmery although you can't see it in the photos.

I must say, it is Bliss when you don't have to be tidy with things. he he.
