Inky Mojo Monday Card

Hello Again,

I wanted to share this card I made for the Mojo Monday challenge this week.

P1040099

This card was made with a little arty farty and inky bit of fun. There’s nothing like getting your hands all inky and gluey and painted now is there?

This is the sketch this week…
Mojo264Sketch

I started with a mixture of purple inks on the frame from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and stamped it onto glossy white cardstock. Then I stamped a pile of different images onto some plain white tissue paper. I then ripped the tissue paper around the images I wanted on the card and stuck them down with clear glue.

The frame is black card stock that has been cut with two Labels collection framelits and embossed with the Lattice embossing folder.

I used a pile of black ink and sponged messy edges on, they were a bit too dark so I went over them with Shimmer Paint and a brush.

There’s also Bakers Twine of course – because I’m addicted to it, some Dazzling Details glitter and a bit of ribbon and flowers all stacked up too.

Hope you like my card this week and don’t forget to come back and join me next week when my Guest Designer spot starts with Sunny Challenges & Creations.
I would love you to join in with the sketches each week!

Ciao for now…

Vintage Mojo Thanks

Hi Everyone,

What a creative week it’s turning out to be. I’ve made my Mojo Monday card already!

P1030980 - Copy

I had an absolute blast with my stamps and inks and cardstocks and embossing folders and sizzlit dies and ribbons and musical roller stamp and distressing and smudging and sponging and shimmering. Yep, it was a busy afternoon! Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week…

Mojo260Sketch

I’ve always admired how people use a ‘peek-a-boo’ tear in the cardstock and reveal the underneath of a design. So this was my opportunity to try it out. I’ve used the music Notes roller wheel with Early Espresso ink on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Whereas on the Vanilla cardstock on top I’ve used Pretty in Pink ink to roll out the Music Notes.

P1030980

I seem to also have a thing for little birdies lately – this one is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. I also like the Victoria Lace frame that I made. Thanks so Much is a retired sentiment stamp set and I’ve framed it with one of the Lots of Tags Sizzlit.

P1030978

The pretty in pink flower is made with the Boho Blossoms punch and I’ve separated the cardstock to reveal that lovely suede look again. It just softens up the flower nicely. The Little Leaves sizzlit was cut from Early espresso cardstock and tucked underneath.
Well that’s it from me today.
Hope I’ve inspired you to get in a craft something!

Yellow Kindness

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post to share with you…it’s late on a Friday night here and I’ve had a huge week, and am looking forward to an early start in the morning for a market stall - so I’ll keep it short and sweet Smile

I saw a discussion on a forum somewhere recently – which I didn’t join in to, but it got me thinking. The discussion was about the colour Yellow and how little people tend to use it or like it. It got me thinking – I do not use yellow enough! I like Yellow! Kindness really does matter so today I’m being kind to yellow.

P1030639

I really like the layout of this card – I cased it from the Stampin’ Up Ideas book and catalogue! (See page 71!) Mine’s a little different, but the layout is essentially the same.

P1030640

I really love playing with shimmer mist and totally coated this chocolate cardstock
he he he!
The butterflies and sentiment are both from the Stampin Up Kindness Matters stamp set, which you can also see on page 71 of the catalogue. (see the link to the online catalogue on my sidebar if your interested). I coloured the butterflies with my Stampin Write markers and the blender pen.

Enjoy….I’m off to bed

Mojo Melon Mambo

Hi Everyone,

Thought I’d better get in and do my Mojo Monday card for this week, here it is…
P1030631

 and here is the sketch….
     Mojo248Sketch

I have stamped the large rose from Fifth Avenue Floral in Crumb Cake ink on the white base, framed it with Melon Mambo and went ballistic with the paper piercing tool! I love how the Mat Pack keeps you going in straight lines.

A little (well sort of little) package arrived just in time from Stampin’ Up with my order this month and I was able to use the Floral Fusion sizzlit to make a flower. I stamped in Melon Mambo on the white flowers that I had cut (using the Triple Tread flower stamp).

The little leaves sizzlit is there too.

Designer Frames embossing folder with Oval All stamp set for the sentiment and it’s layered onto a crimped piece of Crumb Cake that has been swiped over with White Shimmer Paint.

I went with a colour combo from Dynamic Duos
DD#9

Crumb Cake with Melon Mambo was my choice, only Whisper White kind of got in there.

Hope you like my card today, I’ve had a rather crafty afternoon and have a couple more cards to share with you using Crumb Cake card stock over the next few days. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for dropping by and hope to see you again soon..

Hello Card

Hello Hello Hello fellow crafty people,

It’s Mojo time again and here is my bright Real Red card…

P1030595

The Adorning Accents Edgelits die and matching embossing folder are perfect for the Fancy Frills challenge at SUO Challenges. The border stamp from Vintage Vogue alongside the gorgeous satin pleated ribbon really adds to the frills. A little embossing with Manhattan Flower is swiped over with White Shimmer Paint for added interest.
this is the Mojo Monday sketch this week…

Mojo246Sketch

I’ve made another flower, this time using the 5 Petal punch. A little spray of my home made Shimmer Paint Spritz and sparkles galore! Check it out close up…

Summery Christmas Card

Hi Everyone,

Well, I’ve been making Christmas Cards all year and I thought, this is Australia – we don’t have snow and cold weather at Christmas time! Then I saw the challenge at SUO Challenges this week – Bright Summer Days. Perfect! a Bright Summery Christmas Card that all my Aussie mates will appreciate.

P1030543

Poor wee Dasher looks a bit lost in all this heat, he’s been clear embossed and sponged over with Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight and Real Red inks. I’ve used the Square Lattice & Finial Press embossing folders, as well as the lovely Pleated Satin Ribbon that is in the current Winter Mini Catalogue.

I also wanted to have a play with my new “Simply Scored” the scoring tool – also in the current Winter Mini Catalogue - and what better way than to make one of the ever popular concertina fold flowers. I just used Cream cardstock and sponged it with the same colours as the rest of the card.

P1030546

I put the sentiment on the leaf – it’s punched using Blossom Petals Builder punch. I knew that punch would come in handy! The centre of the flower is from the matching Stamp Set. The other thing I’ve done, and I don’t know if you can see it in the little pic above, but I sprayed some home-made Shimmer Paint Mist all over this baby! Just because it’s a Summer Christmas, doesn’t mean it don’t sparkle! lol

I utilised the sketch at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week. Finally have had a chance to get one in on time.

Don’t forget the Winter Mini finishes July 31st  so get your orders in before it’s gone!

Have a great day, evening, night whatever it may be in your neck of the woods.

Christmas Adornments

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a good start to the week. I was given the opportunity to make this Christmas card today when my computer crashed and I had to wait for “The Guy” to come and fix it. What else to do while your waiting. What made it better was the postal delivery man showed up with my latest items from Stampin Up. What perfect timing!

P1030442

The lovely Edgelits Dies called Adorning Accents along with the matching Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were among my order. Couldn’t wait to use them! I made a kind of frame with them by using the piece that was cut off the base mat of Very Vanilla CS. The straight edge is hidden beneath another new (to me) item, Victoria Lace! Did you happen to notice the sprinkling of shimmer on the base Real Red CS? I even had time to make some Shimmer spray!

 P1030445

I must at this point say thanks to Trish and Treasure for lending me her Bird Punch, I’ll have my own sometime I promise! I’ve put a little matching button on his eye and painted his wing with some gorgeous Shimmer Paint!
The girls at 52 Christmas Card throwdown have inspired the button! Thank you ladies, I’ll enter my card this week Smile I also will hook up with the Make it Monday linky party, just to share it around, I'm quite chuffed with the results. To think, I nearly was working all day instead. (Best get on to that now - work that is aaaghh it'll take me all night!)

I decorated the inside too, just because I could!

P1030444

I hope you like my first go at using the new edgelits dies. They are available in the Winter Mini Catalogue and are very reasonably priced! You can check out the catalogues from my side-bar and if your an Australian resident, you could order anything you like from those catalogues from me – just email me to organise it!

Have a great week and I’ll see you again soon.
