Inky Mojo Monday Card

Hello Again,

I wanted to share this card I made for the Mojo Monday challenge this week.

P1040099

This card was made with a little arty farty and inky bit of fun. There’s nothing like getting your hands all inky and gluey and painted now is there?

This is the sketch this week…
Mojo264Sketch

I started with a mixture of purple inks on the frame from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and stamped it onto glossy white cardstock. Then I stamped a pile of different images onto some plain white tissue paper. I then ripped the tissue paper around the images I wanted on the card and stuck them down with clear glue.

The frame is black card stock that has been cut with two Labels collection framelits and embossed with the Lattice embossing folder.

I used a pile of black ink and sponged messy edges on, they were a bit too dark so I went over them with Shimmer Paint and a brush.

There’s also Bakers Twine of course – because I’m addicted to it, some Dazzling Details glitter and a bit of ribbon and flowers all stacked up too.

Hope you like my card this week and don’t forget to come back and join me next week when my Guest Designer spot starts with Sunny Challenges & Creations.
I would love you to join in with the sketches each week!

Ciao for now…

Triple Time Card

Hi Everyone,

Well – here it is, my first attempt at creating a card using the Triple Time Stamping technique that has been taking Stampin Up demonstrators by storm! Everywhere I look lately I see this technique and I love it! I think the first example I saw was from the esteemed Mary Fish back in July, (who cased it from Dawn Olchefski who has a tutorial for it HERE)

P1030986

I used the Everything Eleanor stamp set along with the Itty Bitty Banners stamp and matching die with Crumb Cake and Regal Rose colours for cardstock, ink and ribbon for a pretty effect. A bit of a fancy edge with the Scallop Trim Border punch is set off by the pink that is showing through from the inside of the card…

Went a little overboard maybe, but I do like it!
You may notice that my flowers overlay the swirls, but you can’t actually see the swirls through the flowers.

How did I do that you ask? A simple matter of masking. The flowers were stamped and embossed, then masked ( a little paper cut out of the same stamp is very lightly stuck down over the original)  the swirls were then stamped with Crumb Cake ink, the masks removed and Voila! The ink doesn’t touch the flowers under their masks.

Here’s the stamp set, isn’t it gorgeous?

Everything Eleanor

Hope you all have a great week, I’ll be back in a coupe of hours with a new Stampin Up Promotion where you can earn some free ribbon – How exciting, off to write the post now.

In the meantime, enjoy my Triple Time Stamped Card Smile

Multi Purpose Card

Hi Everyone,

I’m back in the middle of a long week-end here in Qld and how busy have I been!
This card is made with no sentiment on purpose
I figured I needed a ‘Multi-Purpose’ card in my stash.

Sunny Challenges and Creations always have a great sketch, and this week is no different,
check it out..

I have gone and turned it on it’s side – and used something from the new  Catalogue as suggested – Delicate Doilies Sizzlits along with some embossing folders and the gorgeous swirl stamp from the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

The colour scheme this week is from Dynamic Duos – always a bit of fun.

As you can see I used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake cardstock, some pearls to accent and Voila – one Multi Purpose card!
I’ll be back soon with a new technique for me – some lovely layers, so keep an eye out for it, you’ll love it!
Ciao for now…

Vintage Mojo Thanks

Hi Everyone,

What a creative week it’s turning out to be. I’ve made my Mojo Monday card already!

P1030980 - Copy

I had an absolute blast with my stamps and inks and cardstocks and embossing folders and sizzlit dies and ribbons and musical roller stamp and distressing and smudging and sponging and shimmering. Yep, it was a busy afternoon! Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week…

Mojo260Sketch

I’ve always admired how people use a ‘peek-a-boo’ tear in the cardstock and reveal the underneath of a design. So this was my opportunity to try it out. I’ve used the music Notes roller wheel with Early Espresso ink on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Whereas on the Vanilla cardstock on top I’ve used Pretty in Pink ink to roll out the Music Notes.

P1030980

I seem to also have a thing for little birdies lately – this one is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. I also like the Victoria Lace frame that I made. Thanks so Much is a retired sentiment stamp set and I’ve framed it with one of the Lots of Tags Sizzlit.

P1030978

The pretty in pink flower is made with the Boho Blossoms punch and I’ve separated the cardstock to reveal that lovely suede look again. It just softens up the flower nicely. The Little Leaves sizzlit was cut from Early espresso cardstock and tucked underneath.
Well that’s it from me today.
Hope I’ve inspired you to get in a craft something!

Mojo Wedding

Hi Everyone,

I have the Mojo Monday sketch challenge conquered for another week – Yay! I must say I am in love love love with this card! The colour is Stampin’ Up Wisteria Wonder – cardstock, ink & designer paper (albeit retired dp boo hoo).

P1030938

The base matt of Whisper White cardstock has been embossed with Perfect Polka Dots and one of the little half circle features at the top was embossed with tiny hearts, it’s part of the Adorning Accents edge embossing set.

P1030939

The stamp set used for the sentiment was Stampin’ Up’s Word Play and the beautiful flowers that I’ve fussy cut and hi-lighted with Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. Check it out close up above. I like that it has a really fine nozzle for little dots but also lets you go ballistic like I did in the centre of the big flower above. The other thing I really like is that unlike other “glitter glues”, this one dries fairly quickly!
Oh, this was the sketch this week...

I hope you like my Mojo Monday card this week and I look forward to bringing you some more cards before this week is out! Promise!

If you are an Australian resident and you’d like to have access to any of these products, you are welcome to contact me to discuss your requirements or place an order and perhaps if you are anywhere near the Gold Coast in Qld you might like to be hostess of a party and take advantage of the hostess dollars you can earn to purchase even more of these lovely goodies. I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best now..
