Annabelle sketch with a little Banana Custard thrown in…

Hello Everyone,

I see I have a couple more followers – thank you for joining me, I hope I can provide as much inspiration as I get from you in return.

Today I have made a card for the Annabelle Stamps Sketch Challenge #38  and as luck would have it is the perfect colour to enter into the Lollipop Ladies challenge too, which is themed on “Banana Custard” (YUM).
Even though my card is not themed – the colour is right! Vintage will have to wait till the next attempt!

Here it is….

Oh look, I used my Annabelle Stamps “All Things Grow” set again! lol. There is one little element there that is not from that set, and it’s the little birdie which I’ve pinched from the Stampin Up “Bliss” set. I used some natural fibre papers and they kind of went well with the Fern leaf. The ink was Tim Holtz Tea Dye distress ink and I used some orange bling, because the yellow and gold ones just didn’t have any oomph.

Here is the sketch to use if you’d like to do it too click on it, it'll take you there. You can check out what the DT did with the sketch too - pretty awesome.

and the custard...
 I did say YUM!

As usual, I hope you like it Smile

Thanks Lollipop Ladies

Just wanted to say a big THANKS to the Lollipop Ladies (and Mr Linky), for picking me as the WINNER! of Challenge #17 - the Maccaroon inspiration card.

Here it is again ...

It's an awesome prize - A voucher to spend at Sammi's shop - Mad for Markers

hmmm now what colour copics will I choose? Any suggestions - I currently have TWO colours lol (E00 & E11), which seem to work ok for skin.

Thought maybe an "R" colour for cheeks and some earthy hair type colours, perhaps E13, E17.

Off to do some research on that!  What's the bet that I can't decide on just a couple and spend more than the $20 prize? he he he - any excuse really :)

Have a great rest of the week, I'll be back over the week end to post some stuff that I'm working on now.

Macaroon Inspiration

Hello All,

I was browsing my favourite blogs recently and came across the challenge at The Lollipop Ladies, which is to be inspired by this picture of macaroons and add some gloss.

I knew instantly I had something in me for this challenge - those macaroons were shimmering just like a pile of cardstock I had stashed away, and in all the right colours. So here is the card I made....

I scored an inside border on the DCWV textured card so the core was showing, did a little sanding all around the edges and then decided to add some pearl paint. The shimmery cardstocks were cut with my circle spellbinders and run through various embossing folders with my Bigshot. The ribbon is organza and has quite stiff bendy edges on it. I cut a tag out of the same cardstock and stamped a sentiment on it. Then added a little glossy butterfly bead. The tag and the butterfly are tied onto the ribbon with some clear bead making thread. A couple of square blings finished it off.

As usual, I hope you like it - I sure had fun making it :)

Mojo is the Nicest Thing

Hello Everybody,

I've got my Mojo happening a little earlier this week.

The Mojo Monday Sketch 178 this week is

I liked this sketch, but ended up turning it upright so I could use my new stamp.

It's "The Nicest Things" set from Stampin Up and I Love It!!! I've cut the image down a little with my (also new to me) rectangle spellbinder, and matted it onto an embossed rectangle. The embossing is Stampin Up again with their Textured Impressions folder. The colouring was done with a combination of Copics - for skin (yes the only two copics I own), some Stampin Write markers combined with the blender pen from Stampin Up and a couple of normal Texta pens.
The patterned paper is from a big block of papers that I bought at Big W and the ribbons are from my stash.

I tried to use the colours from the Lollipop Ladies blog challenge #14 which was this yummy, colourful pile of smarties in a heart (I think I got the colours right, just couldn't manage the heart.)

That's it from me today, have had a busy week and still more happening through until next week so not much time to get out into Girl World, but I'm determined to make my Mojo happen each week!

Mojo 174 & Lollipops this week...

Well true to my promise I'm still consistent - and upping the ante on myself as well.
Not only this week do I have a Mojo Monday Sketch card completed, but I've used colour challenge # 12 with The Lollipop Ladies as my inspiration. I'm getting quite good at this blogging and creating game.

The Lollipop Ladies colours are derived from some yummy Licorice Allsorts

Rather special if you ask me, I love Licorice Allsorts!

Here is my Card, and before you look at it, I must tell you that it was perfect until I walked out of my shed (otherwise known as "Girl World") and into a rain storm!!!

I'm sorry about the smudge across their knees, but I don't have the stamina to colour that all in again!

I used the only two copics that I have - skin colours, along with just some ordinary texta pens for the rest. My little "You're a Great Friend" stamp is one I bought on ebay with a bunch of other stuff from someone else's stash and card and stripey paper is from my own stash. The ribbon was purchased at Spotlight some time ago. A little sticker book I had floating around netted me the little lady bugs and my good friend loaned me her Spellbinder circles & circle scallops for a few days. Thank you Trishy, love you. xx

Hope you all are having a good week, be back soon.

Oh I forgot to mention that I found the image that I coloured in www.supercoloring.com - awesome site for free pictures to colour.
