Mojo Pretty

Hello Everyone,

I had a lovely day yesterday at my monthly Papermates meeting, you can read all about it in the next post along and see some of the lovely cards that I made using swapped materials.

I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #193 for one of the cards yesterday and I think it turned out very Pretty Smile

Here is the sketch for this week…

As you can see it can be a square or round card, but because I’m strange and different, I did a rectangular card!

I am out into Girlworld again this afternoon so may even be able to add a round Mojo to challenge this week. We’ll see how I go Smile

In the meantime – enjoy, and don’t forget to check out the next blog post for the papermates cards – they are all so different.

Rosey Mojo

Hello Everyone,
I’ve gone all rosey for Mojo Monday #191 and figure it’s the perfect card for my Nanna’s freinds’ 95th Birthday. It says nothing about Birthdays, Age or Life in general – it is just plain pretty. Lets face it – by 95 you’ve heard it all but you’ll still appreciate Prettiness. I hope!
This is my card…

and this is the sketch this week…

I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on only half of the base apricot colour card and surrounded the different elements with gold foil stickers to make them stand out. The gorgeous little stamp (which is out of it's packet and has no name) has been gold embossed on a spellbinder circle and layered on a spellbinder scallop to match. A few gold brads and a nice banner and voila! done!
Hope you like my take on the sketch this week. I was aiming for a vintage feel without the shabby bits Smile

New Baby Cards

Hello everyone, I had an inspiring night last night in Girl World and managed to finish off a set of baby cards that I thought my florist girlfriend may like to sell.

I actually managed to make 8 cards all up, with varying backgrounds, here's a look at just a couple of them.

I found the sticker of the baby sucking it's thumb in
a newsagent stand and only bought 1 sheet of it.
I knew I'd be able to do something with it.

The silver borders are foil stickers and I really enjoyed putting them on. They can take quite a bit of concentration.

The sentiment "new baby" is on of Stampin Up's but I don't have the name of the set in front of me. Something like "teeny tiny sentiments" I think, but don't quote me on that!

The alphabet background paper is from Kaiser, and as usual the ribbon is from my stash. :)

I did some with just plain card too, also a pink one - just don't have a photo of it.
I hope you like my creations, they are quite simple but I think effective.
