Triple Time Card

Hi Everyone,

Well – here it is, my first attempt at creating a card using the Triple Time Stamping technique that has been taking Stampin Up demonstrators by storm! Everywhere I look lately I see this technique and I love it! I think the first example I saw was from the esteemed Mary Fish back in July, (who cased it from Dawn Olchefski who has a tutorial for it HERE)

P1030986

I used the Everything Eleanor stamp set along with the Itty Bitty Banners stamp and matching die with Crumb Cake and Regal Rose colours for cardstock, ink and ribbon for a pretty effect. A bit of a fancy edge with the Scallop Trim Border punch is set off by the pink that is showing through from the inside of the card…

P1030989_thumb

Went a little overboard maybe, but I do like it!
You may notice that my flowers overlay the swirls, but you can’t actually see the swirls through the flowers.

How did I do that you ask? A simple matter of masking. The flowers were stamped and embossed, then masked ( a little paper cut out of the same stamp is very lightly stuck down over the original)  the swirls were then stamped with Crumb Cake ink, the masks removed and Voila! The ink doesn’t touch the flowers under their masks.

Here’s the stamp set, isn’t it gorgeous?

Everything Eleanor

Hope you all have a great week, I’ll be back in a coupe of hours with a new Stampin Up Promotion where you can earn some free ribbon – How exciting, off to write the post now.

In the meantime, enjoy my Triple Time Stamped Card Smile

Multi Purpose Card

Hi Everyone,

I’m back in the middle of a long week-end here in Qld and how busy have I been!
This card is made with no sentiment on purpose
I figured I needed a ‘Multi-Purpose’ card in my stash.
P1030995

Sunny Challenges and Creations always have a great sketch, and this week is no different,
check it out..
SC 06112

I have gone and turned it on it’s side – and used something from the new  Catalogue as suggested – Delicate Doilies Sizzlits along with some embossing folders and the gorgeous swirl stamp from the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

The colour scheme this week is from Dynamic Duos – always a bit of fun.
DD#22

As you can see I used Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake cardstock, some pearls to accent and Voila – one Multi Purpose card!
I’ll be back soon with a new technique for me – some lovely layers, so keep an eye out for it, you’ll love it!
Ciao for now…

Vintage Mojo Thanks

Hi Everyone,

What a creative week it’s turning out to be. I’ve made my Mojo Monday card already!

P1030980 - Copy

I had an absolute blast with my stamps and inks and cardstocks and embossing folders and sizzlit dies and ribbons and musical roller stamp and distressing and smudging and sponging and shimmering. Yep, it was a busy afternoon! Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch for this week…

Mojo260Sketch

I’ve always admired how people use a ‘peek-a-boo’ tear in the cardstock and reveal the underneath of a design. So this was my opportunity to try it out. I’ve used the music Notes roller wheel with Early Espresso ink on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Whereas on the Vanilla cardstock on top I’ve used Pretty in Pink ink to roll out the Music Notes.

P1030980

I seem to also have a thing for little birdies lately – this one is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set. I also like the Victoria Lace frame that I made. Thanks so Much is a retired sentiment stamp set and I’ve framed it with one of the Lots of Tags Sizzlit.

P1030978

The pretty in pink flower is made with the Boho Blossoms punch and I’ve separated the cardstock to reveal that lovely suede look again. It just softens up the flower nicely. The Little Leaves sizzlit was cut from Early espresso cardstock and tucked underneath.
Well that’s it from me today.
Hope I’ve inspired you to get in a craft something!

Regal Rose Mojo

Hi All,

Yay – I’m back with my Mojo Monday card and it’s only Saturday here!  Can’t wait to share it with you, It’s made from gorgeous Regal Rose cardstock, the matching Designer Paper stack and a smidgen of Twitterpated Designer Paper. I sneaked in an Apothecary Accents Framelit too just for fun.

P1030950

Not to mention those ever versatile Floral Fusion sizzlit flowers (in black again he he he) along with the Little Leaves sizzlit and even some offcuts from a previous card. The lovely scallop around the edge that has been topped with pearls is the offcut from an Adorning Accents edgelit. How pretty is that! Because I had lined up the piece I was cutting for a previous card with the edgelit fairly close to the edge of the cardstock I was left with this thin scalloped strip which was perfect to decorate the plain circular edge on the Mojo sketch this week.
This is the sketch this week by the way..
Mojo259Sketch

Oooh, can you see the sweet little banner that the sentiment is stamped on?

P1030950

It’s another new item in the catalogue that I think I will find it hard to live without – Bitty Banners Framelits. 3 Dies come in the set and I’ve used one of my Teeny Tiny Sentiments in it this time as I’m awaiting the arrival of the order that has the matching stamp set in it.

How exciting – another matching stamp and cut item!

That’s the exact reason why I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator – It all Matches! (and did I mention you get a discount?) If you’d like to join up too – check out the Join Now button on my Demonstrator Website today. Just follow the prompts and you too could have all these wonderful matching, good quality products at a discount!

Hanging Butterfly Card

Hi Everyone,

I have this gorgeous card to share with you today that utilised my Bakers Twine to dangle a butterfly and sentiment in an aperture made with a die. I did make it a while ago and was saving it up for a Challenge, which I’ve just found the perfect one at Twist of Faith Card Challenge blog – the In The Garden theme is perfect!

P1030720

This is my first attempt at this type of card and it was a lesson in co-ordination I can tell you! The trick is to cut the aperture ON ALL pieces at the same time (before sticking them together, but with them where you want them to be).
There are two sides the piece that hangs in the middle and the Bakers Twine is stuck down between the two, then it’s sandwiched between the designer paper and the cardstock at top and bottom to hold it into place. Here it is on the inside…
P1030721

The little hanging piece was just a circle punched, the butterfly was stamped and cut out twice and stuck onto both sides, lining it up as best I could. I have shared this card over at Inspire Me Fridays too, because I think it’s a rather inspired idea. The Sweet Stampin Challenge also has a  challenge to focus on the sentiment - It is a little small, but is definitely the focus on this card.

P1030723

I hope you like my attempt at some construction – now to go back and do it again with the new Stampin Up Butterfly punch and perhaps one of the Apothecary Accents frames would be nice for this. I have cased this card from somewhere – a tutorial was found, but as I made this card quite a while ago, I have failed to find again the brains behind the design to credit them for it. Whoever it was – thank you, it’s a lovely design!

Have a great day now..
